Eating Out in Milford on Sea this Christmas

With the festive season just around the corner and the allure of mulled wine and roast dinners becoming more irresistible, we’ve rounded up some of the best places in Milford on Sea to go this Christmas time.

From the 1st December, Ray’s Italian Kitchen is serving its Italian Christmas menu and is available for lunch and dinner. Chef Karl Wiggins has combined the best of Italian flavours and produce with locally sourced ingredients to bring you some special winter dishes. Two courses for £25.95 and three courses at £29.95.

And its ever popular Christmas Eve brunch is back with sittings at 10.30am or 2.30pm. If you have a larger group of 10 or more guests, then why not think about booking their private dining room.

If you’re looking for something less traditional for Christmas then The Lighthouse could be for you! Its set Christmas menu is available from the 1st December to 24th December with three courses for £29.50 or £24.50 for two. There is also live music every Friday and Saturday night throughout December at 8.30pm and wreath making workshop on 5th December and a pottery night on the 19th still available to book.

Milford’s independent wine bar The Cave is also tempting people out this festive season with its Wine Tasting events starting on Monday 11 December, with a ‘Sparkling & More’ night at £30 per person. Discover what wines you should be having with your Christmas lunch on Wednesday 13 December at 7pm (£25 pp) and finally a free Italian wine tasting evening on Saturday 16 December from 12.30pm-3pm.

For a cozy festive meal then why not head to The Lazy Lion in the heart of Milford on Sea for its Christmas menu at a cost of £24 for two courses or £28 for three. The Beachhouse, situated overlooking the Solent is also gearing up for a busy festive season and a New Year’s Eve party is planned with live music from 8pm-1am.

And if you’re looking for the full Christmas experience and want to put up your feet and let someone else do the work then the South Lawn Hotel is offering a three-day celebration package at £495.00 per person and includes accommodation and food from 2pm on Christmas Eve until breakfast on the 27th December. There is also the option of pre Christmas parties at South Lawn, a Christmas Day and Boxing Day offering, as well as New Year celebrations.

And don’t forget our traditional pub The Smugglers Inn with spaces still left for Christmas Day and its Christmas Quiz on 19 December, which includes a 2 course Christmas dinner at £24 per person.

The Gun Inn in Keyhaven will also be tempting diners with their festive creations with its set Christmas party menu at £30 per person for two courses, £40 for three or £50 for four.
