The Beach House

Park Lane, Milford on Sea, SO41 0PT

Tel: 01590 643044

The Grade II listed Beach House was built in 1897 for Alexander Siemens (who created the world’s first public electricity supply at Godalming) as a summer house for his family. Formerly known as Westover Hall, Hall & Woodhouse brewery renamed it ‘The Beach House’ in 2012 to reflect how the Siemens family had always used it.

Built in the Arts and Crafts style it was judged the most luxurious residence on England’s south coast and indeed the imposing stained glass windows portray Pre-Raphaelite scenes from the “The Enchanted Wood” can still be viewed from the bar area today. The property has two beautiful dining rooms with sea views, a cosy snug and a chilled out lounge with roaring fire.

The Beach House also boasts over 200 outside covers with its fantastic raised patio areas and extensive gardens and offers great views across to The Needles and the Isle of Wight (on a clear day of course!). It has an extensive family friendly menu and is known for its favourites like the Steak & Tangle Foot Pie, Forum Lager Battered Fish & Chips and its famous Chargrilled Double Cheese Burger.

You can also choose to stay at the Beach House as it has a total of 14 en-suite rooms , 11 of which are in the main building and a further three in its self-contained annexe. Four of its luxury rooms and two standard rooms have stunning sea views across to the Needles and the Isle of Wight.

All rooms are nautically themed, all with luxurious Sealy mattresses and equipped with smart TV, digital radio and free Wi-Fi, together with teas, coffees and hot chocolate.
