Eating out in Milford on Sea this Christmas

With Christmas fast approaching it’s time to get the diary out and organise those festive celebrations with family and friends. Here in Milford on Sea, we’re spoilt for choice for great restaurants, and you’ll be guaranteed a good time wherever you go.

From the 1st December, Ray’s Italian Kitchen is serving its set Christmas menu and is available for lunch and dinner. Chef Karl Wiggins has combined the best of Italian flavours and produce with locally sourced ingredients to bring you some special winter dishes. Get stuck into some sticky figs, candied nuts and fruits and of course the local’s favourite – the Bailey’s cheesecake.

If you have 10 or more guests for your Christmas get together, then why not think about booking their private dining room. Ray’s Italian Kitchen will be open until Christmas Eve but will close from the 25th December 2022 to 3rd January 2023 to give their fantastic team a well-earned holiday to share with friends and family.

If you’re looking for something less traditional for Christmas then The Lighthouse could be for you! Its set Christmas menu and festive buffet is available from the 28th November to 24th December. Its set Christmas menu is £27.50 for three courses or £22.50 for 2 courses. The Festive buffet menu is available for Christmas parties of up to 80 people at a cost of £22.50 per person. New Year celebrations can also be enjoyed here with a 5 course meal for £85 and live music with the fantastic Ed Martin Duo.

Milford’s very own independent wine bar, The Cave is also tempting people out this festive season with its lunchtime and early evening Tapas offer of three dishes for £12. This is available Monday to Friday lunchtimes from 12pm-2pm and Monday to Thursday evenings from 6pm-7pm. You could make a night of it on a Wednesday evening, as there will be live music at The Cave every Wednesday from 8pm.

For a cozy festive meal then why not head to The Lazy Lion in the heart of Milford on Sea for its Christmas menu at a cost of £23 for two courses or £28 for three courses. The Beachhouse, situated overlooking the Solent is also gearing up for a busy festive season, with a three course set menu at £30 recommended for groups of eight or more. You can also enjoy Christmas day here with a three-course meal and welcome drink.

And if you’re looking for the full Christmas experience and want to put up your feet and let someone else do the work then the South Lawn Hotel is offering a three-day celebration package at £495.00 per person and includes accommodation and food from 2pm on Christmas Eve until breakfast on the 27th December.
There is also the option of pre Christmas parties at South Lawn, a Christmas Day and Boxing Day offering, as well as New Year celebrations.

And don’t forget our traditional pub The Smugglers Inn and The Gun Inn in Keyhaven will also be tempting diners with their festive creations. While Britannia Thai is always popular, whatever the time of year, with their authentic taste of Thailand.
