About
This seaside escape is a couple of minutes’ walk from the harbour and the nature reserve loaded with wildlife and thousands of birds in sleepy Keyhaven, the almost adjoining hamlet to Milford on Sea.
A stay at Ken Cottage, which sleeps seven guests and two pups, is where the sound of seagulls and chimes of yacht masts fill the air. Spend your days bobbing about in a dinghy, crabbing, beach combing and spending old-fashioned days at the seaside.
Downstairs, the open-plan kitchen-diner is the place to gather and be social, or spill out into the sunroom, which the owners have left stacked with games. Meanwhile, the lounge is the perfect spot to sink into the sofa and watch your favourite films. There’s a ground-floor king-size double bedroom and a further three bedrooms upstairs – a super-king double with an additional day bed, plus a twin and a single bedroom.
And the garden? It’s a joy. Private, secure, and wonderfully green for pups and children to play. The lawn is perfect for games, al fresco dining or stretching out after a day out and about. Mature trees and colourful borders frame the space and provide shade on hot, long summer days.
