Born from a love of baking during lockdown, local resident, Amanda Maidment opened Milford on Sea’s very own bakery, The Coastal Bakery in January 2021. The bakery is located opposite the Lazy Lion pub in the heart of Milford on Sea.
It has been sympathetically renovated to provide a modern business, with the nostalgic interiors of bygone bakeries of vintage cake displays and shelving. Serving fresh bread, rolls, cakes (vegan and gluten free options available), pasties and sausage rolls, as well as fresh sandwiches and paninis, there is definitely something for everyone in this must-stop destination.
And if you’re looking for a special celebration cake during your stay then owner, Amanda will be happy to help or if you prefer to pick up an afternoon tea then this can also be arranged in advance. You’ll be met by friendly staff and a wide selection of treats that can be enjoyed on the village green, at the beach or back at your holiday accommodation.
