Visit Milford on Sea view from Shingle Beach House

Perched on the clifftop, Shingle Beach House offers guests a spectacular birds-eye view across the bay from the famous rock formations of ‘The Needles’ on the Isle of Wight to Old Harry’s Rocks on the Purbecks to the east.

This capacious and funky holiday home is set over three floors. It radiates character with big, bright and beautiful rooms laden with natural daylight. Lofty ceilings are punctuated with pretty beams against angled walls and huge windows, which together create a home reminiscent of far away, foreign climbs.

The ground floor has a handy utility room and a walk-in shower room servicing a twin bedroom and a further double bedroom with doors on to the garden. Both bedrooms enjoy the treat of having TV’s with Freeview, and the twin also has a DVD player.

There is much more to love about Shingle Beach House upstairs. The sun-filled living room with snuggly sofas and ‘real flame’ effect gas fire also has 40″ Smart TV, Youview box, DVD player for nights in when you want just to chill and relax. The living room’s focal point is the sliding patio doors on to a balustraded balcony (with steps down to the garden) which takes in those wonderful sea views – the perfect spot to hang out with a glass of something bubbly and watch the sailboats!

Next door is a cloakroom and a very well-equipped open-plan kitchen diner with a range cooker, microwave, American fridge-freezer (with chilled water and ice dispenser), dishwasher and coffee machine.

Wake up to the sights and sounds of the sea from the master ensuite bedroom on the third floor, which enjoys those same fabulous views across the bay as the living room. You’ll sleep well in the king-size bed and maybe enjoy some late-night films on the bedroom’s TV with Freeview and DVD player.

There’s private gated access to the clifftop from the garden on to well-marked walks, pathways and steps down to the beaches below, and the village pubs, provisions and artisan shops are just a ten-minute walk away.
