Visit Milford on Sea lounge at Haven View

About

This dog-friendly, stylish pad boasts a coastal flavour with a twist of fun to relax and enjoy the sea-salty air of this quaint little harbourside village, less than a mile from Milford on Sea.

Haven View is a big, bright townhouse set over three stories with a fully enclosed landscaped garden and gorgeous views of the bay, Isle of Wight and surrounding countryside.

You’ll find a large lounge/diner on the main living level, which is a haven of modern contemporary aesthetic. Bold plum sofas for six guests are mixed with colourful cushions against crisp white walls and painted furniture. Expect a TV, DVD player, CD player and iPod docking station for entertainment. There’s a substantial dining table with seating for up to eight guests – in case you want to invite some friends to join you for dinner. In warm months, fling open the balcony door for views that take in Keyhaven Lake, Hurst Castle, and the Solent.

The fresh, white kitchen houses a gas hob, electric oven, fridge, freezer, microwave and dishwasher. With a big butler sink beneath a picture window framing far-reaching views across the surrounding countryside. There’s a shower room on this floor and stairs up to three beautifully presented and uncomplicated bedrooms and a further shower room.

Haven View’s ground floor utility room is the perfect dumping ground for guests to plonk wet towels, wash muddy paws from forest walks and throw garb into the washing machine and an additional fridge-freezer). There’s storage for bikes and blow up dinghies in the garage and a door leading out to the garden.

The contemporary garden at Haven View is rather special and beautifully landscaped. It’s north-facing but with day-long sunshine at the rear. This is where you pour a glass of wine, kick back and relax on a comfy cushion covered rattan furniture. The garden is fully enclosed, so no need to worry about your pooch escaping and plants are mostly replaced by stone and sculpture in line with the minimalist design. There’s patio furniture to dine alfresco, and when the skies turn black, bring out a blanket and cosy up around the built-in fire pit for a spot of stargazing.
